Your guide will text you to confirm meeting location and time and answer any questions you might have. This is a good time to ask an expert for input regarding your clothing, road conditions, and weather forecast.

* Pro tip: Start hydrating, good circulation keeps your hands and feet much warmer!

Depart your accommodations and drive to Delta Junction, Alaska. Stay in communication with your guide regarding meeting place and ETA.

* Pro tip: Pack your hiking boots, dry socks, and warmest layers to put on at the trailhead.

Meet your guide and follow them for the remaining drive to the trailhead, enjoying views of the Alaska Range and wildlife along the way.

* Pro tip: Delta Junction is the last stop for ALL facilities, so be sure to have at least half a tank of gas, use the restroom, and get any drinks or food you need!

Arrive at the trailhead. Your guide will check that your clothing and footwear is adequate, and provide any other necessary gear, such as headlamps, or trekking poles, as needed. Enjoy scenic, mountainous views while hiking through the wilderness.

Arrive at the glacier! Experience the natural ice formations, and take in the beauty of the glacier toe, as it will not look the same next year! Summer glacier melt is normal, and changes the inside and outside of the glacier every year.

* Pro tip: This is a good time to hydrate and eat lunch before hiking back.

Take in the 360° alpine views one last time. This glacier is constantly changing, and will look completely different a year from now. Your experience was truly once in a lifetime. Arrive back at the cars! Part ways with your guide, and drive back to your accommodations.
