Your guide will text you to confirm meeting location and time and answer any questions you might have before visiting a glacier. This is a good time to ask an expert for input regarding your winter clothing, road conditions, and weather forecast.

* Pro tip: Start hydrating, good circulation keeps your hands and feet much warmer!

Depart your accommodations and drive to Delta Junction, Alaska. Stay in communication with your guide regarding meeting place and ETA. Don't get your winter clothes sweaty in the car.

* Pro tip: Pack your winter boots, dry socks, and warmest layers to put on at the trailhead.

Meet your guide and follow them for the remaining drive to the trailhead, enjoying views of the Alaska Range and wildlife along the way.

* Pro tip: Delta Junction is the last stop for ALL facilities, so be sure to have at least a half tank of gas, use the restroom, and get any drinks or food you need!

Arrive at the trailhead. Your guide will check your winter clothing, and provide ice cleats, snowshoes, headlamps, and trekking poles as needed. Enjoy scenic, mountainous views while hiking through a winter wilderness.

Arrive at the glacier! Your guide will take you as far into the blue ice cave as current conditions allow, with plenty of time for numerous photo opportunities. Experience the natural ice formations, crystals and otherworldly beauty of Castner Glacier.

* Pro tip: This is a good time to hydrate and eat lunch before hiking back.

Take in the 360° alpine views one last time. This glacier is constantly changing, and will look completely different a year from now. Your experience was truly once in a lifetime. Arrive back at the cars! Part ways with your guide, and drive back to your accommodations.
